WSOP 2007: Main Event

A smaller field than the previous year thanks to a few lunatics in the US Congress. Despite that set back the first place prize money was an impressive $8.25 million, and the winner was the most unlikely champion since Robert Varkonyi.

This year the WSOP starts Friday, May 30th with the $10K Pot-Limit Hold 'Em tournament. The $10K NL Hold 'Em Main Event starts Thursday, July 3rd. Low limit satellite tournaments for Main Event prize packages are starting now at FullTilt Poker and PokerStars.
